Dear Prime Minister,

In countries where the ruling regimes force their dictatorial visions upon their people by their fierce behaviour, your rightful comments on foreign affairs and that the democratic countries should help to provide democracy to those countries that suffer from the lack of it, brings a heart warming support to those such as the people of Iran who feel helpless living under the tyranny of the Islamic Republic for over a quarter of a century.

Only recently a 16 year old girl was hanged in Iran and a 13 year old child, newly become mother is currently in prison, awaiting to be stoned to death because she was raped by her 15 year old brother. The number of political prisoners is increasing every day, many of whom have been executed, tortured or their whereabouts are unknown.

This is why your negotiations with the Islamic Republic of Iran, be it regarding their nuclear weapons program or any deals or financial contracts, defeats the subject of the ‘democracy’ issue. The mullah’s regime in Iran is not only brutal to the Iranian people but it is also breeding and funding the Islamic terrorist fundamentalist organisations worldwide and so the EU’s policy of appeasement towards this regime is only prolonging the life of the enemy.

Your efforts and your policy in uniting with America against international terrorism is highly appreciated by us and the freedom loving people of Iran and we sincerely hope that the unfortunate Iraq issue will be resolved as soon as possible.

As you may be aware, the CPI is the largest and most organised Iranian, anti-terrorist, democratic, political party outside of Iran and we endeavour to help our people to achieve the freedom that they deserve. Therefore we have no hesitancy to co-operate with any government whose foreign policy is to the benefit of the people of Iran. As a result, we are delighted that our campaign for President Bush’s re-election was very successful.

I also take this opportunity to offer our condolences to the British and Iraqi people for the execution of Mrs. Margaret Hassan in this horrendous and barbaric manner.

We sincerely hope that together we stand firm against international terrorism, a phenomenon that the Islamic Republic of Iran has been a main cause of.
