On behalf of the Constitutionalist Party of Iran, I would like to register our grave concern over your respective government’s support for the recent agreement between Islamic Republic of Iran and Russia which will make Iran a step closer to acquiring a Nuclear weapon.
Although we strongly believe that it is an inalienable right of all nations including that of the Iranian people to acquire any scientific knowledge or technology including nuclear technology and use it for peaceful purposes, we strongly believe however that the same right shall not be extended to some regimes. Unfortunately the Islamic regime in Iran is such a regime.
The current regime in Iran has proven itself to be a dangerous terrorist regime incapable of adhering to the international code of conduct. The Islamic regime in Iran is an undemocratic regime that has continuously violated the human rights of the Iranian people, supported international terrorism, opposed peace process in the region and more importantly has consistently called for the destruction and annihilation of the sovereign state of Israel.
Therefor, we believe that the current Islamic regime in Iran through its actions and policies has striped itself of the right to acquire certain technologies that can be used for military purposes. A regime whose officials speak casually of annihilation of millions of people must not be trusted with the means to carry it out. The danger with the nuclear issue in Iran is not in the technology or the scientific knowledge but in the nature of the regime controlling it.
Your Excellencies, we respectfully urge you to register our strong disapproval of the dangerous policy of appeasing the Islamic regime in Iran with your respective governments. We respectfully urge you to instead of appeasing the oppressors of the Iranian people support the aspiration of the Iranian people for a free and democratic regime. The safest, most logical way to achieve peace and prosperity in Iran and the region is a democratic regime representing the will of the Iranian people.
We sincerely hope that you agree with us that a free and democratic Iran will be a much more reliable and stronger ally of your respective countries than a totalitarian regime that is destined to be changed by the Iranian people.
